Eastern Bus Terms and Conditions

Refund Policy

All tickets are non-refundable once the transaction is completed. Duplicate transactions are also non-refundable because duplicate transactions prevent other customers from purchasing tickets. There will NOT be a refund for bus delay due to weather, traffic, and mechanical issue.

Rescheduling Policy

Customers can reschedule their tickets up to 24 hours prior to the departure time. Tickets cannot be rescheduled less than 24 hours prior to the departure time. Tickets can only be rescheduled to the same route provided by the original bus carrier. Customers can reschedule their tickets via customer service. Ticket can be rescheduled up to four times.

Acceptable Ticket Formats

Eastern accepts e-tickets as a printed copy and as a hand written copy. Please refer to the Q&A section on EASTERN BUS (https://www.easternbus.com/qa ) for the list of information that must be copied from the e-ticket onto a piece of paper. Each passenger requires a separate piece of paper.

Standby Policy

If you miss your bus, your ticket becomes a standby ticket. You can use the same ticket to board the next scheduled bus, only if the next scheduled bus have available seat. Ticket is only valid within the same scheduled date.

Service Animal Policy

No pets are allowed on the bus except service animals. The service animal is the responsibility of its owner and must be under the control of its owner at all times (i.e., leash, harness or carrier). Service animals must ride in the bus within the customer`s space and may not travel in the aisle or occupy a seat. We reserve the right to refuse passage to any animal that poses a direct threat to the health and safety of other customers or personnel.

Smoking

All buses are smoke-free. Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes and all electronic simulated smoking materials, is prohibited on board.

Luggage

Each passenger is allowed to have one check-in bag and one carry-on bag. The check-in bag should not weigh over 50 pounds and must not exceed 62 inches when adding the total exterior dimensions (length+width+height). Extra charges ($10 to $20 per piece) apply for oversize and additional bags.

Bicycles

The transportation of bicycles is not guaranteed. Eastern will transport bicycles on a space available basis. Extra fees may apply when Eastern is available to transport bicycles. No bicycles are allowed during Fri., Sat., Sun. and holidays.

Minors Traveling Alone

Passengers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Seniors, Students, Veterans Discounts

There are no special offers for seniors, students, veterans etc.

Conditions of use

1.If you purchased your ticket online, please arrive at the station 30 minutes prior to the departure time to guarantee your seat. If the passenger has not checked in 30 minutes prior to the departure time, the seat might be sold to others.

2.A government issued photo ID and copy of E-ticket are required when board. Failure to present both may cause a delay or cancellation of your trip.

3.The customers' name(s) on the E-ticket should match the passengers' or one of the passengers' names.

4.Please be advised that the ticket is valid only for the date and time stated on the ticket.

Eastern Coach VIP Card Terms of Use

Effective December 27, 2016

These terms of use (the “Terms of Use”) apply to the agreement between the cardholder (“You” and Eastern Coach Inc. ("Eastern" or "We" or “us”) with respect to your use of Eastern VIP gift card (“Eastern Card”)

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THESE TERMS OF USE BEFORE USING YOUR EASTERN CARD. YOUR PURCHASE AND/OR USE OF EASTERN CARD CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE WITHOUT MODIFICATION OF THESE TERMS OF USE CONTAINED HEREIN AND THOSE UPDATED BY EASTERN FROM TIME TO TIME.

General

Eastern Card is a reloadable gift card issued by Eastern for the use of your future purchase of bus tickets on Eastern’s website www.easternbus.com (“Eastern Website”) or at the participating Eastern ticket offices. You can load monetary value in US dollars onto your Eastern Card. Eastern Card has no expiration date.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR EASTERN CARD SAFE. Eastern Card is not returnable or refundable. Eastern Card cannot be replaced if it is lost, stolen, destroyed, or used without your permission.

Eastern card is a gift card. No credit line, overdraft protection or deposit interests are associated or will be accrued with the value on Eastern Card.

Loading Value onto Eastern Card

You can load value onto your Eastern Card by paying cash at the participating ticket offices. Currently we do not accept credit card, debit card or other payment methods.

The minimum amount that you can load onto your Eastern Card in one transaction is US$200, and the maximum amount that you can load in one transaction is US$500. The total amount on your Eastern Card at any given time may not exceed US$2000. Eastern may change these amount limits any time by informing you the new terms at the participating ticket offices or posting them on Eastern Website.

Use of Eastern Card

The value on your Eastern Card can only be used for purchasing bus tickets sold by Eastern on Eastern Website or at the participating ticket offices. When you purchase bus tickets with Eastern Card, you will receive a receipt for the transaction. The receipt will show the amount of such a purchase and the then balance on your Eastern Card. You should keep your receipts and check your balance to ensure that your account balance is correct.

You can also check the balance and transaction history on your Eastern Card by presenting your card to any of our participating ticket offices or by calling 202-750-9078. When you make inquiry through phone calls, you should provide the card number shown on your Eastern Card.

Complaint and Investigation

We reserve the right to correct the balance of your Eastern Card account if we believe that a clerical, billing or accounting error has occurred. If you have questions regarding your transaction history or any correction, or if you disagree with any transaction or correction that has been assessed against your Eastern Card, please contact our Customer Care Team by phone at 202-750-9078. We will conduct an investigation and communicate the results to you and correct any error that is verified during the investigation. If no error is found, we will send you an explanation. You should monitor your transactions and account balance closely.

Disclaimer

WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO EASTERN CARD, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN ANY EVENT AND TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE AND AGGREGATE LIABILITY, WILL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF THE CONCERNED EASTERN CARD.

Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, Eastern shall not be liable to you or any third party for any loss of income, profits, business, goodwill, or other indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your purchase or use of Eastern Card, regardless of that Eastern is advised the possibility of damages or not.

Governing Law, Venue and Waiver of Jury Trial

This Agreement is governed by the laws of New York State without reference to conflicts of laws principles. You agree to the personal jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts located in New York city. You irrevocably waive all rights to trial by jury in any legal proceeding in connection with this Agreement.
